From Our Community

“Freedom Intermediate School is building a culture of creativity and confidence, where students are encouraged to explore and grow through programs like Corvidae Creators. I’ve had the privilege of mentoring students in this program, and I’m continually inspired by their curiosity, innovation, and eagerness to grow. It’s an honor to support a school so deeply committed to unlocking the potential in every child.” Matt Brown, Founder/Brand Strategist, Mettle5, LLC

“I love that FIS gave me the ability to choose my Academic Focus blocks which empowered me to pursue education in subjects I’m most passionate about. I also love that my teachers took time to get to know me.”tucker odom, former student

For most parents and students, moving away from elementary school and going to the “big school” is daunting but Freedom Intermediate School bridges the gap beautifully! Moving as a class throughout the day together and getting lockers yet still having a smaller teacher to student ratio gives the students more autonomy in small steps. FIS’s teachers understand the transition can be difficult and are very encouraging and always accessible to parents and students. Both of my boys love FIS! Joy Howard, Parent

Freedom Intermediate School is a true gem. We had the privilege of having our two daughters go through FIS, over four years. We were particular blown away by the fine arts. The theater department, is exceptional, unparalleled by any of the schools surrounding it. We were lucky and extremely grateful that our children got to grow and be nurtured in those programs. I love teaching at FIS because of the incredible support I receive. I truly value the sense of community here, and I appreciate that the district recognizes the vital role the arts play in our students' education. Candice Adams, teacher
