Franklin Special District (FSD) is pleased to welcome two new supervisors to its leadership team. They will replace valued district leaders who will retire later this month. Stacey Robertson and Joey Chilton bring extensive experience, dedication, and proven leadership to their respective roles, ensuring a seamless transition and continued excellence in service to FSD students, staff, and families.

With the release of accountability data for the 2023-24 school year, the Franklin Special District proudly announces that half of the FSD schools were named Reward Schools by the Tennessee Department of Education.

The Franklin Special District (FSD) is excited to announce the appointment of Sonya Roberts, M.Ed., as its new Human Resources Supervisor. With extensive experience in strategic human resources leadership, Roberts brings a diverse skill set and a proven track record from her previous roles.

Franklin Special District (FSD) has received a Healthy Meals Incentives Recognition Award for improving the nutritional quality of school meals. Awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) in collaboration with Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK), FSD received the Breakfast Trailblazer Award for redesigning breakfast offerings to decrease sugar and sodium.  

Franklin Special faculty and staff convened today for a fantastic Opening Day celebration, filled with warm welcomes, a motivational keynote speaker, and our annual musical production, featuring school and district leaders, as well as some pretty cute and talented students from each school!

The Franklin Special District upgraded its school-to-home communication platform to ParentSquare, a simple-to-use communication hub that offers families many ways to receive information from the district and their children’s schools—all in one place.
